I must say I was quite skeptical when I purchased this book not knowing if it was really going to be really informative or just another scam but it seems to have some interesting information that I look forward to in using some of these recipes and trying some of these projects

I grew up on a farm and watched these abilities disappear from one generation to the next. My grandchildren (10 and 13) are visiting for the summer and we've been going through a few pages together every evening since the book arrived. They're already making a list of projects they want to try. The 13-year-old asked why they don't teach any of this in school. Good question. The book is written plainly enough for kids to follow but thorough enough to actually be useful. I'd call that a rare thing.

I spent 12 years in the Army and came home to realize that most of the practical skills that kept us operational don't have a good civilian equivalent in print. This comes close. The first aid content is accurate and doesn't talk down to you. The water and food security sections are solid. What I appreciate most is that it's organized like a reference manual: you can open to exactly what you need without reading linearly. Already recommended it to my brother who's just starting to think about preparedness. If you're serious about this topic, it belongs on your shelf.
